Cruel Santino (formerly known as Santi) is a pioneering figure in Nigeria's alté and alternative music movement. Born Santi Lawal in Lagos, his 2019 debut album 'Mandy & The Jungle' is considered a landmark record that introduced Afropop fused with rock, new wave, and electronic music to Nigerian audiences. He has been instrumental in building Lagos's vibrant underground creative scene.
