Seyi Vibez, born Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi in Lagos State, is a Nigerian singer who has rapidly become one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Yoruba street pop, drawing on the Fuji tradition of dense, poetic Yoruba lyricism and combining it with modern Afrobeats production to create music of unusual cultural depth for the commercial pop format. He began releasing music in 2020 and built an initial following through a combination of raw vocal talent and the emotional weight of lyrics that addressed genuine lived experience. His breakthrough single Chance (Na Ham) (2022) became a massive streaming hit across Nigeria and the diaspora, earning him his first significant chart presence and confirming him as one of the most distinctive new voices in Nigerian music.
