Biography
Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey is one of the most influential figures in Nigerian music history. Born in Idogo, Ogun State in 1942, he founded the International Brothers band and developed the Miliki System of Juju music in the 1960s and 70s — a smoother, more melodic style than Chief Sunny Ade's approach. With over 100 albums to his name, he was awarded the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) national honor for his contribution to Nigerian culture.
